Mary Moore Altar and Communion Linens
For a century and a half craftspeople on the Portuguese island of Madeira have carried on the tradition of English hand embroidery - characterized by raised white stitches on a white fabric background. In the 1950s our friend Miss Mary Moore created beautiful Christian designs for Madeira embroidery and started importing linens for use in American churches. When Miss Moore passed away in the late 1980s we gratefully inherited her firm and her passion for beautiful handmade linens. Mary Moore quality endures: they are made only with fine Belgian linen, hand embroidered and hand hemmed. Each article is a treasure of devoted, individual artistry that will beautify your church for many years.
