IT Operations Analyst
Core responsibilities
-
Responsibility for all IT Server Operations functions and
supporting company information/communication network
- Build and
maintain the Server Application software of Windows Server
Family (Exchange, Proxy and SQL, Terminal Service, WSUS, etc.)
- Build and
maintain SQL Merge Replication between all SQL Servers
- Perform SQL
database backups and maintain SQL Database consistency through
SQL Queries and SQL trace processes
- Assure
integrity and security of Almy servers including databases and
electronic files, routine server tasks and disaster recovery
- Assure the
integrity and responsiveness of company information and
communication network
- Coordinate
activity with supply support including frame relay, internet
access, phone/communications, hardware maintenance
- Assist in
planning company equipment needs and budgetary requirements
- Stay current
on any server upgrades in technology in both hardware and
software.
- Communicate
system/applications issues in a language that is appropriate to
all Almy Employees that utilize IT resources
- Team member
for support of all applications that is in use at CM Almy
- Fly in
company plane to support our locations in Connecticut as deemed
necessary.
- Participate
in company teams as assigned
Shared responsibilities
- Work with
other members of the IT staff to assure overall user
satisfaction and support.
- Maintain
VOIP telephone system and associated network
- IT Helpdesk
- Application
support
Reports to
IT Manager
Internal and/or external relationships
Internal: IT staff,
including CT support staff, all Almy Employees that utilize server
resources
External: IT
consultants, software developers, hardware maintenance contractors,
communications systems service providers, internet service
providers, software support consultants
Performance Measurement Criteria
- User
satisfaction for server performance
- Up time of
network and server equipment
- SQL
Replication and network connectivity
- Performance
of database and other server based applications
- As directed,
participate in project tasks to support company strategic
objectives
Environment
- 20 Servers
- 3 locations
- Pittsfield, Greenwich, Old Greenwich with Pittsfield to
Greenwich communication via Wide Area Network.
- Software:
Windows Desktop. Windows Server , Windows Server Software and
other server based applications.
